The Senior Singalong
The Senior Singalong completed its first season, broadcasting twice weekly on WTJX, the Virgin
Islands’ PBS station from November through to May. This program brought engagement to
community elders through televised choir rehearsals directed by Winifred Powell, with singers
Lucia Francis, Gwenavire Hyndman, and Bodicea Gordon. As many seniors throughout the
Virgin Islands are housebound, this program provided a creative outlet, mental and physical
stimulation, and a heavy dose of humor!
For 2021-2022, this program was made possible, in part, by the generous support of Virgin Islands Council on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
For the 2022-2023 season, this program will be funded entirely by the Hodge Senior Citizen Fund through the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands!

Singing is for all ages!
The Fourth Annual Holiday Celebration:
In December 2021, Sing St. John held our Fourth Annual Holiday Celebration, on Zoom.
It was a packed virtual concert which featured four music videos made by Ocama Select
Children’s Choir and St. John Recovery Choir, as well as carol singing by audience and
choirs!
We look forward to a live and in-person concert in Powell Park for December 23,
2022, which will be livestreamed thanks to Love City Community Network (LCCN)! You
can still join us from near or far!
