Sightsinging Classes

Sing St. John has previously offered two levels of sightsinging, one that begins at the beginning, and a second level that begins after learning key signatures. The second level progressed to singing a Bach chorale by the end of the season! The pace of these classes is determined by the students, who have adult lives to live – so they are leisurely and low pressure.

Vocal Technique Workshops

​Vocal Technique workshops explore optimal alignment, breath management, diction,
phrasing, and the basics of how to belt. Students figured out challenging passages in
the SJRC repertoire, and worked on music from jazz, and other contemporary styles.
The workshop is small and half the fun is realizing that everyone has something that
challenges them.
